Summary:
Integrated place-based management (IPM) has emerged as a promising approach to systematically and practically assisting in managing trade-offs and identifying win-win policies and management options over time, space and across jurisdictions. In the context of environmental issues, many proponents argue that landscape and watershed-level approaches are the most effective ways to sustainably reduce threats and conserve species, communities and habitats.
